I've been using a TA-2020(?) based amp for the TV, 20 watts per, good parts, etc. Jonesing for remote control, tho'.

Today I get a Parts Express e-mail for this:

Did I buy one? Of course!

Not bad! The price is right. Let us know how it sounds.

I use one a Rocketfish amp for light duty, and it sounds alright. Actually works really well for surrounds.

Well... so how is it working so far? I made a bad TV buy. Made up a built-in-to-the-wall 2.1 system for it using the PE plate amp and come to find out the TV doesn't have any analog outputs.
Crap! Has optical, so I buy a converter, again from PE. OK, I'm back in business! Crap again! No volume control on the optical from the TV, and no setting to enable it. It's like the old days where you actually had to get off your ass (or out of bed in this case) to change the channel or volume. Oh, the horrors! Oh, and the volume controls on the plate amp are 8 feet of the ground, thank you very much. The worst part is not being able to mute commercials.
