How would the 3015LF compare to the omega 15? would this be a good candidate for something similar to a 4pi?

It is useable, I suppose, but I wouldn't chose it. It isn't as smooth, a little rough on the top end and it costs twice as much. The Omega 15 is a better part for a midwoofer, in my opinion.

If you want an upgrade, go with the one we list for this model - the JBL 2226. It has a shorting ring which reduces distortion.
