I subscribe to AT&T Uverse and one of the options is to stream from my computer to the TV. Is it worth the effort to set it all up at this point in time (especially since I have a desktop in another room? What is the advantage of doing this? I haven't found a reason to try this yet. Is anyone doing this currently?

If you have the DVR (that comes with the U-verse service), I'd use the HDMI output instead. It's a better feed. But of course, you can use it to connect to the internet for streaming feeds too.
