What do you make of the films which have been 'digitally remastered'? They do it to music too but do you think it's an improvement on the original in either field?
I prefer things to be in their original state. If you play an old LP then the crackle is part of the experience. If I watch an old movie I want it to be in black and white, as it was meant to be seen. I am the same with food. I hate when they mess with something and change it into some hybrid form.
I find that movies aren't revamped just to make more money, just the fact they don't stand up to modern broadcast standards as they would become unwatchable if they weren't remastered.
