How in the hell do you strip teflon insulation from silver plated copper wire? I'm not sure what others use for small ga. wire stripping, but I've always found nail clippers to do wonders.......until now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.....C

The stuff is tough, isn't it? I usually use a sharp knife or razor blade. On everything else, I use garden variety strippers or wire cutters but on teflon, I prefer to shave it off with a sharp blade. Similarly, on thin laquer covered magnet wire, I tend to like to scrape it off with a sharp blade. On thick wire, I sort of shave it off but on very thin wire, it's more like scraping it off, dragging the blade across the insulation to scratch the insulation off.

If you want to spend some $$$, they make thermal strippers that work great on teflon coated wire.
