Has anyone ever heard the JBL K2 and Everest model speakers from JBL? An employee brings "Architectural Digest" to work and they had an ad in the magazine saying that "They're the only speaker systems able to perfectly recreate the precise acoustical delights of a live performance."

I know that they are VERY expensive as well.

Those are controlled directivity loudspeakers, very similar to the models I make. I have always loved this approach. Now days, these kinds of speakers are all the rage, with some folks calling them "waveguides".

They are quite nice to look at as well. But for $30K a pair for the K2's, I'll pass.
