Hi Bill,

Which version of the JBL 2226 did you use in your Four Pi speakers?

I am thinking about using the J, or 16 ohm version. And was hoping that you have the needed 16 ohm corrections values for the standard Four Pi crossover designed for 8 ohm 2226?

I hope all is well for you!

Thanks!

Norris

I haven't tested with the JBL 2226J, but you may be able to swap it for the JBL 2226H by modifying the crossover. The woofer low-pass coils and resistors will have to be 2x size and the caps will have to be 1/2 size. The tweeter compensation needs to be reduced by 3dB too (if using the DE250-8 or PSD2002-8).

I'd go with these values when substituting the JBL 2226J:

R1 - 40Ω for DE250-8 or 30Ω for PSD2002-8
R2 - 12Ω for DE250-8 or 14Ω for PSD2002-8
R3 - 16Ω
L2 - 3mH
L3 - 1mH
C4 - 10µF
C5 - 10µF
