Nah, me neither. It's Christmas!

Looks like this place is off to a pretty rocky start, but I'm willing to give them a chance and see what happens. The moderators just need to let us test the waters a bit before chopping our heads off.

Well, we can mix them, can't we? What's your favorite Christmas recording, and what are you listening to it on? Is it one from childhood, a new recording . . . ?

I'm listening to the soundtrack from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". I'd tell ya what it's playing on, but it would be considered a commercial plug and get me deleted. (Easy, compadres, just kidding!)

The simplest way to look at the early de-postings might be:

Right now I'm listening to Windham Hill's Holiday Sounds on a Meridian 588 cd player. The rest of the system (at least for the moment) includes an Atma-Sphere MP-3 preamp, BAT 75SE amp and Coincident speakers.

Handel's Messiah on Westminster, c. 1959, original mono pressings, near-mint thanks to my dad's loving hands. Just found it on CD as the link shows. A highly recommended performance of the Messiah.

A real sleeper for the money. It's on loan right now from Atma-Sphere but I'm seriously thinking I need to buy it.
