When I opened it up I noticed right away this wasn't a cheezy plastic Cd case. It's made into a booklet. Kind of reminds me of the album covers of old. It starts good and just keeps getting better. There are a couple of names I'm sure you'll recognize helping out on this album. David Crosby, Graham Nash, Georgie Fame and Richard Wright.
There are a couple of songs that remind me of the A momentary lapse of reason album that Floyd put out. Also a couple that could almost be called smooth jazz.
I'm not going to describe each song as I feel that might spoil it for you or predispose you to expect something other than what's delivered. I'm not quitting my day job to become a reviewer for sure
There are touches of Floyd, Jazz, electronic and just plain good arranging on this album. It's one that will sound better each time you play it. The sound quality is good as it's not recorded "to be loud" like so many rock CD's are. Lots of headroom left and it shows on the quiet passages.
Conclusion, if you're familiar with David Gilmour and his style of music and like it; then you'll love this album.
