Hi Wayne,

Question on the compensation network for the new 4 Pi with Omega 15s. When I added the new crossover and the DE 250s to my Theater 4s w/ delta 15s, I had to lower the output to the DE 250s due to their higher output than the Eminence compression driver. Now with the new Omega pro 15s I anticipate having to lower the high freq. output in the crossover again since the Omega is less sensitive than the Delta. Is this true and can you suggest resistance I should try? Also, How does the new 4 Pi with the Omega 15 perform with the Bottlehead gear? should I expect much reduction in spl? A bit less bass (tighter bass) would be OK.

Thanks,

Garland

The DE250 is a little more sensitive than the PSD2002, that's true. If you're using an Omega 15 (or JBL 2226), then use the values shown in the four π schematic for whichever compression driver you're using.

I found the Paramours to be pretty insensitive to load impedance fluxuations. All models (amd options) of π speakers work very well with them, even those with a little higher Zmax.
