I asked Phil Marchand if he could build me boards to biamp my Pi speakers. In case someone is interested this looks like the ticket. This is my mail:

Hello,

I want to biamp a 5 channel system. I would like to use XM46 modules. The speaker level crossovers are as follows (for 8 ohm drivers):

Low pass:

o-----1.0mH-----------------------o
|
|
in 10.0uF out
|
|
o---------------------------------o

High pass:

----0.47uF-----
| |
o---8.0uF-------22.0uF---------25.0Ω-----------o
| |
| |
in 0.6mH 16.0Ω out
| |
| |
o----------------------------------------------o

Please note the top octave compensation network. Assuming that we make R2 8K ohm (I will use tube amps with 100K input impedance) we could have on your boards the following:

Low pass:

o-----1.0H------------------------o

| |

| |

in 0.01uF 8k Ω out

| |

| |

o---------------------------------o

High Pass:

----0.00047uF---

| |

o---0.008uF-------0.022uF---------25KΩ-----------o

| | |

| | |

in 0.6H 16KΩ 8k Ω out

| | |

| | |

o------------------------------------------------o

I’ve been looking at your boards and it looks like I would need to install the compensation network outside the board. Is this something you would recommend? What would be the price in kit form? I would require 5 high pass and 5 low pass sets.

And his answer:

Hi Mr. Cortes,
Thank you for your message.
Sorry for not answering sooner.
We can help you with these XM46 crossovers.
I understand you would need 5 low-pass, and 5 high-pass, a total of 10
boards.
The regular price of the XM46-K Kit. is $ 75.00 each.
But because you have only 2nd order filter (instead of 4th order) , and
order 10 pc, we can supply these to you for $45 each.
We can make the kits with the values shown by you, including the extra
parts.
I think you you can fairly easily place the extra parts of the HP filter
on the circuit board itself.
Hope this helps
Sincerely
Phil Marchand

Looks great, but I'd suggest that you implement an active version of the new crossover:

Will this work?

Yes, that's what I'd suggest.
