$200 the pair, down 3.9dB @ 350Hz in a .5 cu.ft. sealed box and 98dB efficient to match the 98dB of the ribbon and 97dB 2226.

Should I change the coil on the 2226 to cut off at 500Hz instead of 350?

I was looking at the B&C drivers for a while, possibly to use them to replace the Magnums in the Audiophile Series. The B&C drivers look like capable parts. But I have too many things on my plate as it is, so I abandoned that, at least for now.

Wayne, do you find a lot of differences from speakers specs (brochures and factories specs) to the way they really sound. Like good specs and bad or different sound than expected?

Accurate specifications do a pretty good job of describing a speaker's sound, in my opinion. The place where T/S specs and response charts tend to stop describing a speaker are at high power levels, where specs tend to shift and even become non-linear. Another thing that is often lacking is polar plots. And of course, you don't describe environmental influence on a loudspeaker data sheet. But all-in-all, I think accurate spec sheets describe a loudspeaker pretty well.

But so did a Benz Ace Micro L cartridge and Nova Phenomena phono stage. I'm listening to the Benz now. Natch'. Both from Musical Surroundings.

I did take them out of the box tho', and the fit'n finish is first rate. Heavy, too. And they have the copper shorting wrong. I'll try to get them set-up tomorrow in a temp baffle (the batspeakers have a 2123-sized hole) just to take a peak.
