I thought Fred did a great job designing these speakers too. Yours look excellent! What kind of wood is that? What finish?

They look great! As far as I know yours are the first. Give them a week or two to break in, experiment with placement until you find the best position in the room, then give us your impressions.

Thanks Wayne, the finish is a faux finish that looks like wood... It works really well and cheap...

What is the finishing product? I might want to use in on some future project. Always looking for the impossible: cheap audio equipment that sounds like the high end stuff, easy to apply finishes that look expensive, etc.

Fred,

I email PE, the manager did not response after at least 2 emails requesting transportation costs for the drivers. Maybe I should give up.

Alternatively, can I use GR driver M130 instead, it may cost a little bit more, and Danny from GR is very user friendly. What is your opinion? I believe the sound will improve as they are better drivers compared to Dayton.

By the way is GR M-130 better than the PE Dayton driver, hence sounds better. If that is so then it is better to get M-130 now to avoid upgrade in future. The price difference is marginal and I also strongly suspect postal charge from GR is cheaper than PE, therefore M-130 will not much more expensive than PE's Dayton.
