Yeah, I knew when you mentioned a target of $250.00 per driver, the 2241 would be out of the question if purchased new. But I think you can find 'em for that kind of money in good used condition. The 2242 is even more money, and really kind of likes smaller boxes. If a 2242 is used in a 10ft3 box, it is best tuned for 25Hz which gives an EBS alignment with a -6dB shelf.
