It's amazing how furniture and other decorative materials affects the room's sound quality.  My wife bought a large, ugly sculpture in the living room, but it had to be moved because it was creating an echo effect.
The size of a room, the number of windows and if they are always opened when you are playing songs or watching a movie and also the size of the properties that one get all contributes to the quality of sound that you get from the device that you are playing. This is why finding a balance and making adjustments where needed is very important when we are setting up studios or a mini cinema at home. A lot needs to be considered.
