Well, I get it that the Yamaha NS-2000 must've sounded cool and vintage, but I will pick any of the quality modern speakers all day.

I've been in a place where I heard these old speakers being used and they just felt slow and muddy to me when compared to the nice ones we get nowadays that offer clarity when being used.

I make use of the KEF Blade Two Meta that I got for $24,000/pair two years ago. Trust me, the clarity and punch are just on a different level.

I get the nostalgia vibe, but I'd rather spend some cash on new speakers that slaps harder. Got no regrets with the decision.
