I realized too late that the CNC table wasn't as flat as I thought it was, which caused the depths of the dados to vary by up to +/- 0.1".  It took a fair bit of touchup on the router table to get everything to fit correctly.

That's a pretty big variance, nearly 1/8".  But you sure can't tell - your speakers look great!

Thanks, Wayne-  Roughly half of the panels required rework as stated, and if you examine the enclosures closely it's evident that things are still slightly askew...but it's nothing that can't be mitigated with a dose of flush trimming and some sanding.  At least the joints mate properly and the boxes are air-tight where they need to be.  Overall I'm very pleased with how everything is taking shape.

Funny thing... I was contemplating running a surfacing pass on the mill before starting but ultimately chose to just "send it".  My impatience got the better of me!  I suspect it will strike again as I'm anxious to load in the drivers and crossovers for a listen.

I think the next step is to prime and paint the baffles satin black before applying the veneer to the rest of the cabinets, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it.  Maybe black lacquer with a paint sprayer?  I'll have to consult by brother who has more experience with this kind of stuff.
