I know Wayne has made it clear he prefers the classic R13 glass insulation... but I've always been cold on it's use in general. I just don't like the product for a multitude of reasons, but understand that fiberglass insulation is the benchmark. Has anyone else here experimented or had good results with alternatives such as cotton/denim or wool insulation? I have some of the former on order to try out... but from Parts express and from a home retailer... I want to try both products... I also got a woo sample from havelockwool.com.

I know that Audio Note uses wool, and Snell used dacron poly... two companies I admire. I also have used the recycled cotton in some of my bass cabinet builds where they need to be road-worthy and bounced around. but haven't really had a chance to compare.

I'm building some 2PIs again (is this the 4th or 5th pair I have made?) and will be trying out some different options... I'm curious what others have experienced.

thanks!
