We find ourselves in a "sticky wicket" A generally good system now in the hands of self serving individuals. The founding fathers likely envisioned that the leaders would be honorable and have the best interests of the country in mind. That doesn't seem to be the case. This is IMO something that has edged its way in over the past several years. Likely started around 1960 or so. No one individual or group is necessarily at fault. But we should collectively blame ourselves for not being engaged in what our government was doing and allowed it to erode into what it is now. How to get it back on track eludes me. I personally don't like any of the various proposals circulating. They all seem to be destructive not constructive. Just my two cents.
