Hi. Howdy from southern AZ (Sierra Vista) Your radio looks a lot like a Philco Barn radio I have. It uses a long wire for an antenna. In my case you just string it out for as far as you can. 10 feet is about minimum but up to 100 feet is better. Mine actually ran on batteries and I had to make a power supply for it (it was for use in ...get this... a barn where there was no power). Some radios of similar vintage had flat loop antennas stuck on the inside of the back cover. Some had both loop and long wire types. /forum/index.php?t=getfile&id=3312&private=0
