I think you'll be OK on that one. Some changes in some speakers are more problematic than others. But in your case, the bass bin is already overdamped enough that slight shifts won't push the alignment into a peaky configuration. And the cabinet doesn't get any higher frequencies, so standing waves aren't an issue. This all makes me think that very small change in volume won't hurt you much if at all.
