@LCallan, I believe my Sony PS-LX310BT came already put together. It was my first foray into vinyl (as an adult). While shopping for an upgrade, I noticed that nicer models require more fiddling, probably because they're most often bought by audioholics who like to be hands-on and are particular. I think that's the common trend with budget vs. high-end turntables.

I have the standard gear I suppose - a large screen TV with surround sound speakers hidden here and there. I'm not sure about the exact models because my wife had the Geek Squad set it all up. I also have some rather cheesy, but incredibly comfortable red theater seats and a large projector screen to watch movies at home.
