I know a guy who was infatuated with a woman but she was too shy to actually talk to. Through a mutual friend giving her certain online information, this guy would post songs to see what her reactions were so he could get a line on her personality.

I have no idea what happened, but it was a pretty inventive way of doing it, I think.
