The upgraded midwoofer for the three π speaker is a Definimax 4012HO and the upgraded woofer for the four π loudspeaker is the JBL 2226H. These were chosen for the excellent distortion-reducing properties afforded by the use of a flux-stabilizing shorting ring in the motor core.
