Hi, Nice sounding mp3 players are not significantly cheaper than some tablets. (yes you can get $10 ones) The Amazon Fire ones come to mind at under $50. Others are out there as well. Plus you get the benefit of a communication device/video viewer and so on. There are a number of easy to use music player apps for them.
