Kingfish, are you talking about the wind noise in Echoes? Apparently, the wind noise in that song was done by vibrating the strings of a bass guitar with a steel slide and then feeding the signal through an Echore. Or well, that's what Wikipedia says at least. I'm not sure what an Echore is...
