Definitely. The best place to stay is the Embassy Suites where the LSAF is held. That way, you're right there. Most every room has after hours gatherings of some sort. So you can really get close and personal, if you want to. And if you just want to visit during "open hours" it's still the most convenient way to do it. The rooms aren't too expensive either.
However, there are several other hotels nearby. The Embassy Suites where LSAF is held is right at the intersection of I-75 and I-635 in Dallas. There are a lot of other hotels restaurants and everything else in that area.
