I'm pretty sure the "Flying C" logo must predate the "S" logo. The Russian name "Svetlana" starts with a "C" and not an "S". It is written "Светлана". So I think that when R&G (now New Sensor) tried to aquire the rights to the name, they started using the "S" logo in an attempt to take the name. I understand they called themselves "Svetlana USA" and obtained an American trademark without consulting with the original "Светлана" company. So anyway, I think the "C" logo "Светлана" must be older than the "S" logo "Svetlana" because the one copied the other.
