The room is carpeted and, for at least part of the event there will be tables with cloths. I'm not sure how much the table cloths will effect sound absorption or, if they will at all. This audio stuff is all new to me.

Thanks for the recommendation on the system. I will take a look at it and ask the guy who used to do our sound stuff if that will work for our needs.
