Grand Master
While I was working in New Orleans I picked up some new music by locals. After seeing\hearing Tab Benoit in the CineMax presentation about Hurricane Katrina and the state of the wetlands I bought a couple of his albums.

Fever For The Bayou is an excellent blues album. He embraces several styles on it and there is something for everyone here. His guitar sound is similar to JJ Cale and the late Mike Bloomfield. Inventive, liquid when needed and never harsh. In a word I'd call it smooth or flowing. He never seems to be searching for the next note.

His other album, Brother To The Blues is a composite of people who influenced his music. It's all there. You have Country, Blues, R&R and R&B. The whole enchilada.

In short if you like blues with variety give him a try.

Understand I'm no music critic so take what I say with a lb of salt
