Congratulations on finding a deal on new JBL 2226H drivers. Even used 2226H drivers can be brought to 100% good-as-new. Just make sure the cones are genuine JBL parts. If not, get 'em reconed.

The JBL 2426 is a great compression driver, and it can be used in the four π loudspeaker. In fact, it was the upgrade part we used for over a decade. The crossover is slighly different, but the components needed are shown in the notes in the schematic.

Notice that I said JBL 2426. The JBL 2446H is a larger driver and will not work in this loudspeaker. So double check the part numbers to be sure.

The 2446 only reaches to about 10kHz, by the way. I prefer the smaller drivers for high-fidelity speakers. The larger drivers are great for prosound, because they handle more power. But the smaller drivers definitely sound better.
