Actually, I think most people run four π speakers on stands about that height - 12" to 15", with maybe a 3° to 5° tilt back. This is the preferred method with flanking subs.

I've sent plans for the four π mains. If you don't already have subs to flank the mains, let me know and I'll send plans for those also.
