The response curves are smoother below about 100Hz with the 6 Pis as a stereo pair and even more so if the subwoofers included, but I didn't want to muddy the waters in the review. Four new 15" drivers are on their way, and these will replace the current subwoofers in the near future. The Onkyo receiver being used has Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 room correction, and it produces a very flat response curve at the primary listening position. Surprisingly, the audible differences are fairly slight - a bit more image stability and bass definition. The Audyssey Dynamic Eq (dynamic equalization) is a completely different story. This corrects tonal balance of any program material for listening level. Finally a "loudness control" that actually works! The "10 db" setting seems to be a good compromise for both movies and music.
