V.T.V. Issue 20, watch out the next time you go tube rolling, make sure those huge differences you are hearing are based on legitimate tubes. How mortifying to find the NOS is FAX. It was only a matter of time. Now we need a nice circuit for those cheap compactrons. Or we could go solid state; put some passive components inline with the speaker and say it sounds like tubes! Shades of Bob Carver and the famous nulling circuit.
