The Color Of Five

I think she delivers what other cabaret singers like Monheit and Cole promise. And her career is taking off.

Great voice and original songs along with covers where, among other things,
" Naylor sings the American Songbook classic "Summertime" over the music from The Allman Brothers' southern rock classic "Whipping Post." Another surprising "acoustic smash" on the new album is U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" sung over Miles Davis' "All Blues." - Ken Dashow, Q-104

This is also up with any of the best Jazz recordings you'll ever hear.

And the Obbligatos? Inexpensive Aluminum foil caps from Brian Cherry in Hong Kong that have replaced the MKP's in the signal path and of my Jolida 202A. Still breaking in but the mids on this EL-34 push-pull now have SET 'here-ness'. The very loose, even boomy bass of the Jolida has received little help, however. At least so far. But the power supply board is nicely open to itchy fingers!
