Either a:) a filter at the ISP because the name contains 'sex'
in it's name with or without hyphens and punctuation or b:)
blacklisting of the ISP address because of some old spam problem or another using the name of my ISP as an alias.
A different problem of note happened to me at a public terminal
at the local library. My how-to site for media called
afterdawn.com was part of the filtering system there. I learned
later from the library director that they use an unmonitored
program filter of porn sites that they buy from somebody. afterdawn.com was apparently on that program. I challenged the
denial of service at the library and they acknowledged that it should not have been blocked and were able to re-edit the filter.
The question is: how did afterdawn.com get on some filter list
to begin with?
