Hi, I use 14 gauge as well. I like to keep the wires fairly short - under 10 feet long. Some folks may cringe , but I use some from Monster. Two types - a flat pair variety and a CL3 rated for use inside the wall ( I don't put it in the wall though). Both are braided supposed to be oxygen free copper.
