Again, the issue with active crossovers is you have to dial them in. If you just start playing with slopes and frequencies it will never be as good. Neither core filter (low or high pass) uses standard values, so it isn't a Betterworth, Bessel or Linkwitz-Riley. It's a hybrid filter, modified so that phase chould be dialed in for perfect summing.
As for EQ, you can do that, of course. The four π cabinet is tuned to 38Hz, and the three π is tuned for 30Hz. So for each speaker, that's the lowest frequency you can safely boost the bass. I would rather see you use multisubs though, because they will not only increase extension but also smooth room modes.
