I know this sounds crazy, but in desperation while I was out one day and needed a pair of earbuds immediately, I bought a pair from Dollar Tree. I thought I would just use them temporarily until I got something better, but this was 4 months ago, and they still work! It was some off brand type, of course, but just thought I'd mention it...
