Yeah, it's kind of rare that people are still having fun with all this and have a genuine interest in the tech. It's a dying breed except for people that are doing it to be ironic and "unique." Those guys will never care enough to be audiophiles, so I don't really count them. It's a good medium and am glad I rediscovered it.

I remember about 10 years ago playing an old record on a 30 years old player with the built in speakers. The thing looked like a coffee table of sorts. It's pretty amazing the difference between stuff that actually works and stuff that is just too worn out to work properly.
