The f3 of both loudspeakers is about 40Hz. But the eight π is pretty wide because of the midhorn. It does provide CD, but from what you've said it isn't an option because of size constraints.

I think the two π tower is the natural choice for you. On axis, and slightly off axis (like +/- 20° or so), it sounds really nice. The soft dome tweeter is a good match and the system sounds great.
