Easy enough to just lift a ground. The most common place I see ground loops is home theater systems connected to cable TV. A 300Ω-75Ω matching transformer serves to isolate grounds there. Just go from coax to pair and then back again, and the transformer will isolate the cable TV ground from the local earth (third-prong) ground. A lot of times, this will cure a noise problem (usually hum) by isolating the grounds, breaking the ground loop.
