The differences between the three speakers are found mostly in the bass, as you might imagine. If you are planning these as main speakers, I'd suggest the towers. If they are to be used as surrounds or as mains with subs, the standard bookshelf models are fine. The two π has a little bit more midbass before rolloff than the one π speaker does, but other than that, they sound very similar. Both are perfect for surrounds.
