and my limited, painful experience with FEA, it looks like a very sophisticated program.

I'm thinking an individual (vs a company) would have a hard time justifying the purchase price.

There are free versions of Nastran available that will accomplish the same thing, but it's one hell of a lot harder to manipulate than the FINECone program appears to be.
