His stuff is real uneven and slow. Ghost Dog was his best
thing easily.
And casting Screamin' Jay Hawkins in Mystery Train was a real
coup.
But I don't, you know, think about Jarmusch _a lot_. I consider
him one of the cute or "hip" directors that the cognoscenti treat
like Andy Wharhol. Wharhol of the "Art is anything you can get
away with" school of creativity.
