Another aspect. The beauty pageant thing is a little stranger than performance recognition. There they have a talent and that should be nurtured. As far as pimping out the daughter; how do you figure that? They never see any of that money, it goes into a trust fund for the kid. Thats the point. Can you say twenty years later that hey; sweetie; you could have been going to Yale and had your house paid for but we didn't think it was right to let people take your picture? In the Ramsey case it probably wasn't that they were looking out for the financial welfare of the girl; I am not a pschycologist but it certainly looked like the wife had aspirations of her own. Still if the child has a chance at a nice bankroll to help them through life...
