What a hoot but hard to describe. I heard the Louvin Brothers
as a breakaway act during a webstream of the Democracy Now! news hour.
That few seconds was enough for me to chase down the info on Google and alert our statewide folk music program's host for the next request
program.
The song played after a feature on the news was "The Great Atomic Power." It would put you in mind of Homer and Jethro or one of
those primative Apalachian acts featured in _Oh Brother Where Art Thou?_ or The Fugs (Alan Ginsberg, Ken Sanders and Tuli Kupferberg.)
I'd categorise "The Great Atomic Power" as Christian Apocalyptic
Hoe-down. Not to be missed. This stuff should be on the top ten, but
of course it never is.
