Yes, the man's a legend. Let me ask you, have you heard the 78's by any chance. I have a buddy who collects and he swears that the old Bluesway, Vocalions etc. sound much more real on this old blues stuff. I just picked up a couple of Le Roi Du Blues, which is a French label that re-issues real rare stuff; at an estate sale. One is Bukka White,"Rare and Unissued", and Little Walter,"Southern Feeling". The sound is nice for transfers. The Little Walter is some things I have never heard and I am a fan. His backup is Robert Lockwood Jr. and Buddy Guy, Laffeayette Leake on Keyboards and Willie Dixon on bass with Fred Below drums. All recorded in 1952-55. They had Muddy on a copy of " Down On Stovalls Plantation"< but some one beat me to it!
There is a new re-issue of Robert Johnson I see in the record sites supposedly super audio re-mastered. Any word on those?
