For years I, like most others, used a single sub and was never really happy. For the past year or so I've run subs stereo-paired. What a world of difference. Also, I believe the keys are: time alignment of subs with mains; low xo, since the top end rolloff usually takes the frequency up to the directional range; and big subs (15" min.) with lots of power......C
