I bought my wife a pair of Sennheiser HD280's and like those pretty well. My initial impression was that the bass was a little
underwhelming, but it does go plenty deep. This was based on listening to an iPod. Since then, they seem really nice, just a
little different than the other cheap Koss I use. The cusions are a littel stiff, though. Another option are Sony MDR 7506's. Similar
design, same price ($99), supposedly good reputation. Haven't tried them.
